Halo needs to do a ton to get it into my top 10 games of 2010, the FPS mechanics are so dated the HAVE to change it up.

Dated my ass, Halo is way better than modern warfare in terms of control/options in a firefight. (being platform specific, it's easier for them). I feel COD/MW's gameplay is way more dated than Halo's. That why my ODST's playthrough=2, Halo 3=5, and MW2's=1.

Where bungie failed was in flashy scripting, but that has never been bungie's aim (aside from the odd spaceship atmospheric re-entry). They want a sandbox of the old ultra violence as oposed to COD'/MW's duck shotting corridor of horror. Did anyone play Myth? What halo is missing is Gore.

Halo was OK, but it was the Elvis or Brittany of its generation, pumped up with microsoft's huge marketing budget, a soulless amalgamation of tested components glued together in a rather generic sci-fi setting.
